39 degrees south pacific

our seafloor map was very up and down. we had greatly varying elevations. wwe went from south america to australia. along the 39 south latitude. the western coast of south america has a very steep drop off, while the east coast of autralia does not. at one point along the way we dropped to -6000 meters , so there must have been a trench there.
